Just tested out a Skype phone call for the first time. Called some weird Dutch dude that hung up after 20 seconds. Still, it was quite fun — like everything free.

Sorry to astroturf here, but I’m still wondering wether a nice SIPphone client wouldn’t be acually better. While Skype has a Linux client, it is quite unforgiving about older / slower hardware. And it is closed of course, which ultimately will limit its usefullness. So, I’m curious to find out about about the sound quality with SIP.
