Mobile phone as e-book

A Slashdot article about e-books on mobile phones remembered me that I wanted to implement a simple Java app for my phone, a Sony Ericsson T610. Since it has quite a nice screen, I always thought it would be nice to be able to read text documents on it. It would certainly be quicker than firing up the laptop.

I have heard that the T610 is a nightmare to develop for, though I haven’t investigated this myself.

At least, the problems I experienced earlier with a Siemens phone (with which it was impossible to download my own .jar file) should be non-existent here because the T610 has Bluetooth.
