I have read this crazy introduction to Ruby, in PDF format. It’s a free book, with a Creative Commons license. Let’s say it’s kind of a ’special genre’ You have to endure quite some nice silly random adventure prose about imaginary idiots. Which is always nice.

It’s over at poignantguide.net/ruby/ – including a very browseable HTML version.

You can get a feel of the author’s sense of chunky bacon at his homepage. If you don’t like that one, chances are the book is not for you.
