New job

As of last week, I am no longer an employee of SD WORX.

I am now Test Enigneer at Cypress Semiconductor in Mechelen. This is the former FillFactory, an IMEC spin-off that designs and tests CMOS image sensors.

Here are some (possible) reasons why I may or may not have chosen to take this opportunity. Take a guess!

  • Free Coke.
  • More Linux.
  • I like trees.
  • QWERTY rules AZERTY. It makes it way easier to type QWERTY, at least.
  • Fancy foam instead of plain soap in the toilets.
  • Luc Vis every Wednesday on the way home.
  • Ah, the smell of solder in the morning!
  • Bread meals called “Bongo in de Congo” and “Toer-na-vijs” instead of the usual “Smos kaas”.
  • Bike instead of train.
  • SVN instead of evil VSS.

Leaving your ex co-workers behind with VSS? This is an outrage! It’s simply a crime against humanity. ;-)

    SVN rules man!!

So we worked for the same company. I worked for Zeno (spin off from SD Worx) for a couple of months before they (SD) decided to shut it down.

How can you not like VSS? ;) Thanks for pointing me to the daily WTF, I’m feeling better now.
