Don’t you just love it when you call a Whatever Service Provider, and you are automatically put on hold by an efficient, calming, stressless voice? Especially when the operators take the effort to play a catchy, relaxing trip-hop like pop song that they actually pay royalties for…

Some companies take it a little further still, and choose songs that reflect on your personal situation of the moment. How they do it is beyond me, but they sure seem to be able to read my mind. Probably they analyze breath patterns and telephony regional codes, and correlate that with the current star constellations and weather patterns. Yes, that must be it.
